Title
Geographic platform of transhumance corridors in Eastern Senegal 

Description
The RIVERS project (La Gestion des Systems Fluviaux pour l’Avenir) was led by John McPeak (Syracuse University) with funding provided by the Bureau for Economic Growth, Agriculture and Trade of the United States Agency for International Development under the terms of grant No. EEM-A-00-10-00001. This grant was managed by the Feed the Future Innovation Lab for Collaborative Research on Adapting Livestock Systems to Climate Change. Under a subcontract, all data was collected from 2011-2014 by researchers at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and Senegalese research assistants. Director of this mapping project was Professor Matthew Turner, Department of Geography, University of Wisconsin-Madison (UW). Contributors to the primary data collection and processing include: John McPeak (Syracuse University), Erin Kitchell (UW), Mame Astou Diagne (Sénégal), Mohammed Fodé Mandiang (Sénégal), Pathé Thiongane (Sénégal), Mamadou Thioube (Sénégal), Niwaeli Kimambo (UW), Kramer Gillin (UW),Emmanuel Urey (UW) and Sarah Scott (UW). Cartography and website design by Carl Sack (UW) and Florian Boret (DATA\WAX). Translation services provided by Sarah Sommerkamp (UW).
